Compassionate healthcare and purposeful innovation for Cambodia’s children

Why We’re Here

Our vision is for all Cambodian children to have access to quality, compassionate medical care. Wherever they live, and whatever their ability to pay.

Our Story

In 1999, AHC first opened its gates.

Then, the organisation was just three doctors, 10 nurses and dozens of volunteers. They were devoted to compassionate care, dedicated to learning, and determined to provide treatment to children who could not afford it – on that first day and each day since.

The Need

Though in recent years, Cambodia’s public healthcare system has made impressive strides and poverty continues to fall, children still die from preventable causes.

Access to quality healthcare within Cambodia is not yet universal. There is a lack of access to specialty, critical and intensive care services throughout the country – particularly for those in the poorest and most remote villages.
