AHC’s 2013 Annual Report

Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) releases its first annual report since transitioning to an independent organization firmly rooted in Cambodia. The 2013 Annual Report highlights four major accomplishments: the beginning of cancer treatment at AHC for eye cancer patients, the growing independence of AHC’s cardiac surgery team, the opening of a new stand-alone neonatal ward, as well as the inauguration of a new building which houses various units and activities of the hospital, including a second Inpatient Department with 15 beds.

As highlighted in the report’s introduction, 2013 was a very special year for AHC as it was the year that founder Kenro Izu’s original vision – to make AHC “a world class hospital for Cambodians run by Cambodians” – was realized.

The entire team at AHC remains incredibly thankful to the AHC family of supporters who enable us to provide high-quality compassionate care to Cambodian children, regardless of their ability to pay.
