Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a non-profit organisation providing medical care to children in Siem Reap. AHC is looking for highly motivated doctors who want to gain more experiences. Six positions will be offer for this post-graduate training (paediatric fellowship programmes).

The successful applicant will be a person who is highly motivated to learn and further develop their skills working for a non-governmental, non-profit hospital.

AHC has a zero-tolerance policy towards child abuse, sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment.

Requirements

• Applicant holds a medical degree from an institution recognised by the Ministry of Education Youths and Sport, Cambodia
• Highly motivated to learn and improve their knowledge
• Able to work day and night shifts on rotational basis
• Able to build excellent interpersonal relationships
• Good command of English (written / spoken / comprehension)
• Good computer literacy
• Able to work in a team environment involving different departments and able to work in any units required by hospital
• Be enthusiastic and hard working
• Be honest and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to complete one year of AHC’s paediatric fellowship programme
• Work full time as a medical trainee in the in-patient department, out-patient department, emergency room, intensive care unit and neonatal unit
• Respect rights of patients and medical ethics
• Highly compassionate and able to “treat every patient as if they were your own child”
• Self-learn to improve medical knowledge
• Participate in the post-graduate training, following the paediatric curriculum programme through AHC’s pediatric fellowship programme, including continuing medical education and English class.
