Since opening our doors in 1999, AHC has been committed to rebuilding Cambodia’s health force. Over the past 26 years, we’ve trained thousands of medical, nursing, midwife and other healthcare students from across Cambodia. These students complete intensive internships with our staff, learning how to provide quality, compassionate paediatric health care.
Kampong Cham Regional Training Centre for Health is an education centre for aspiring healthcare professionals, located in Cambodia’s Kampong Cham Province. It was one of the first centres we partnered with to train the country’s next generation of health workers.
Over the past 25 years, the Kampong Cham training centre has sent around 2,450 nursing students to intern at AHC, with around 115 to 200 students rotating through our wards each year.
During their AHC internships, nursing students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in paediatric nursing.

Today, our partnership with the Kampong Cham training centre is entering its 26th year — and is stronger than ever. After their AHC internship, their students go on to become skilled, compassionate nurses, using their AHC training to continue raising the standard of health care across Cambodia.
