Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager and Quality Lead, the Microbiology Laboratory Administrator provides administrative support across all laboratory operations. This role is responsible for the administrative aspects of procurement, maintenance of training records, equipment management, and data entry activities.

AHC has a zero-tolerance policy towards Child Abuse, Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), and Sexual Harassment (SH).

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Support the Laboratory Manager (LM) and Quality Lead (QL) with all aspects of procurement.
  • Conduct regular stock checks.
  • Prepare purchase requests and liaise with MORU Procurement.
  • Receive, label, and record new stock in the stock database.
  • Assist laboratory staff in updating the stock database when items are put into use.

Training Records

  • Maintain training records for all COMRU staff, including managing training forms and updating the training database.
  • Support the LM to ensure the timely completion of mandatory training.

Equipment Management

  • Maintain the equipment database and associated documentation.
  • Assist the LM in monitoring and scheduling routine equipment maintenance.
  • Record equipment issues in the equipment database.
  • Update records for newly acquired or decommissioned equipment.

Data Entry

  • Enter internal quality assurance data into the Quality database for review by the QL and/or LM.
  • Perform routine data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), including providing cover during staff absences and supporting daily laboratory operations.

General Support

  • Conduct daily temperature checks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data entry and database management (desirable).
  • Familiarity with procurement procedures (desirable).

  • Good written and spoken English and Khmer.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
